Karen Brody, one of my book marketing students, recently did a remarkable promotion on Kindle and added 5,000 subscribers to her email list.  I was so thrilled by her results that I did karen brodya quick interview with her so you could grab some ideas for your book marketing efforts.

Karen is doing another free promotion of her book on Amazon.com from August 15-19, 2014.  It’s a great opportunity to watch her book marketing process as well as get a free copy of her fascinating book Open Her.  Use this special link to get your free copy http://www.mcssl.com/app/?Clk=5301021

Sounds GREAT! What generous geniuses you both are! Thanks for your willingness to share a great system! I’m thinking coaching or a STEP by STEP training download could be an additional source of income? I’d be interested, even though my book isn’t ready yet!

Uh…did I miss anything about MONEY? Did Karen have coaching, etc. set up to go out with the book download? Or was that to happen with opt-in addresses in the future? What are her multiple streams?

Again, thanks for sharing such a goldmine of information! VERY INSPIRATIONAL!

    Blessings, Barbara

Hi Barbara- so glad you enjoyed the interview. Karen has a well established business with lots of income streams so her book is used to bring more people into her coaching and programs.

Hi Lynne, can you explain the rule about getting your book off all other platforms before selling as a Kindle book? Is it possible to sell your book in multiple formats – PDF, iBooks and Kindle without breaking Amazon’s rules? Or is that only true if you want to use the KDP Select. Feature? Many thanks, Deborah

Hi Deborah- To sell your book on Kindle, you don’t have to take it off other platforms. However, if you going to enroll it in KDP Select you have to sell it exclusively on Kindle for 90 days. You can sell your paperback anywhere, but to be in KDP Select, you agree to ‘go steady’ with Kindle. KDP Select offers some nice features including higher royalty payments and being able to do free give away promotions, etc. If you are selling your ebook on non Amazon platforms with good results, then I’d say don’t enroll in KDP Select. However, if you are not seeing many sales from other sites, try a 90 trial of KDP Select and test your results. Book marketing is like a science experiment- always need to teat and track.
